The Best Overnight Oats

This is one of my favorite things to make when I know I am going to have a busy morning the next day. I keep my overnight oats in mason jars so they are quick to grab and go, and if you’re not in a rush, just easy storage.

We all have busy mornings, sometimes more than others, so why not make things a little easier. I like to store these in smaller jars with space in the top for fruit.

Overnight Oats

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole oats (I use the quick oats)
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt (We love the Oikos 25% less sugar)
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup for sweetness (optional)
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond or oat milk
  • 1 splash pure vanilla extract
  • Fresh fruit for topping

Directions

  1. Stir all of your ingredients together in a bowl until combined.
  2. Pour into mason jars, I like to use a canning funnel because it makes things easier.
  3. Refrigerate overnight (as least 10 hours) and enjoy your oats in the morning with some fresh fruit.

Tips: This keeps pretty well in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. If you are taking them on the go, leave some empty space in the top if you want to add some fresh fruit.

Easy Frozen Dog Treats with Only 5 Ingredients

We all love our pups and it’s so nice to make then a fresh homemade snack sometimes. We don’t usually buy dog treats from the store because our pups have pretty sensitive stomachs, so we usually go the homemade route. Here is an easy dog treat recipe with only 4 ingredients that your pup will love!

Honestly, our dogs are not picky so we could probably through anything in here and they would love it. You can switch out ingredients, just make sure to do your research and make sure they are dog friendly!

I did a super simple mixture that I blended with a little water and some of their favorite things. Please check it out and let me know if you try it!

The Best Banana Bread Recipe

Whenever we buy bananas and they start to go brown, I make this recipe. Or I peel and freeze them to make it in the future!

One of my go-to and most made recipes that is always a crowd pleaser. It’s so easy and quick to throw together and I always have the ingredients on hand. And it’s so easy to change it up to whatever you are craving, add walnuts, chocolate chips, or both!

This recipe make two loaves, so you can always freeze one and thaw later. My personal favorite way to eat it, is to pop it into the toaster to warm it up and put butter on it, so yummy!

You can just mix everything together in one bowl, but don’t over mix!
Here is where you can add you extras, or if you are doing it all the same, add it to the bowl before you pour into your pans
Walnuts (my favorite)
Chocolate chips

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mashed bananas (about two regular sized bananas)

  • 1/2 cup vegetable/canola oil (you could also use 1/2 cup or 1 stick of butter instead)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup of milk (minus 1 tablespoon, explained in directions)
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • one teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or chocolate chips (1/4 cup of each if you are making both)

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°
  • Add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to a 1 cup measuring cup, then fill with milk and let sit while you add other ingredients to the bowl, it should sit for at least 5 minutes
  • Mix all of your ingredients except the nuts/chocolate chips together with a hand mixer, if you don’t have one you can use a whisk
  • Stir in your walnuts or chocolate chips and stir in gently (if you are doing both differently, just stir them in when they are poured into their pans)
  • Grease two loaf pans and pour mixture into both pans evenly
  • Bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean

Notes

  • This recipe makes two loaves
  • Mash bananas up well with a fork before mixing, if there are chunks of banana in your loaf, no worries!
